Breathwork is a profound tool for self-discovery. Usually lying down, we breath in a circular way. No holds at the top or bottom of the breathe. This type of breathing bypasses the conscious mind and allows us access into our vast world of the unconscious. This is the home of memory and emotion and also wisdom and vision. You can access these aspects of yourself in the safety of the session.
Most of us these days are operating from the sympathetic nervous system of stress and worry. This type of breathing also activates the parasympathetic system which is the relaxed part of ourselves. The place where we rest and digest. This has a healing impact on our system as a whole.
Breathwork is a tool to unearth your own innate wisdom.

I will be non-judgmental. All emotions and life stories are welcome. You are welcome. I provide a place of safety and experience for you. This is essential so that we can start to build a trusting relationship. It is within this safety that you can feel relaxed enough to allow the breathwork to take you to where it wants to go.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in a Session?
1. The first part involves talking about what is going on for you at the moment. Areas that you are finding difficult and that you would like to improve or change. We often start to join up the dots to early childhood. It is also a time to look at things that are going well for you – teasing these out so that we start to build an awareness of your vast resources that you have already.
2. We move to the breathing part of the session. People usually lie down for this part. You are invited to completely relax before starting the breathing technique.
This type of breathing allows the body, mind and emotions to start releasing things that were previously stored in the body. I have learnt over the years not to have any expectations of how a breath session will go. It is much better to have no expectations, focus on the breath and let things organically unfold. There is an innate wisdom to every session. The wisdom comes from you and your breath. No two sessions are alike. People can have many differing experiences and insights. If you touch upon any intense emotions and/or emotional expression all are welcomed and safely held.
This type of breathing also induces pleasurable feelings of total relaxation.
3. This is a time to integrate and relax. We usually have a copy of tea at this point. People usually feel deeply relaxed. They feel lighter, wiser and more energised than when they arrived.
It is generally recommended that to get the whole benefits of what the breath can offer you that you take 10 sessions. However, start with one and see how you get on and we can take it from there.
I do face to face here in Sussex. I also do online.
